The gathering is a weekend event where we create a safe place for men and boys to gather and share our lives, our experiences and our dreams for ourselves and the  world we live in. We've planned some workshops and rituals for this year's event, but there will be plenty of time to play, swim and relax at the beautiful, secluded Camp Mattole.

   If you plan to attend, please fill out and send in the registration form as soon as possible. Keep this note and the map below for your use. Here are some other things we'd like you to know:

• Come anytime after 3pm on Friday. We'll have dinner about 6:30 and the opening ceremony about 8pm.

 • We work in shifts to prepare vegetarian and non-veg. meals; please note any other dietary requirements on the registration form.

• Lodging is dorm-style rooms and cabins.

• Most of the camp is wheelchair accessible, and we can assist with barriers.

• Depending on the flow and men's interests, there may be time for spontaneous workshops or rituals. If you've got an idea, bring it.

• No drugs or alcohol allowed; smoking tobacco is permitted outdoors. Please leave your pet at home.

• We'll close about 2 pm Sunday. If you need to leave earlier, let us know so we can say goodbye and acknowledge you.

Stuff you need to bring
• Sleeping bag (or blankets) and pillow
• Swimsuit & towel
• Flashlight
• Personal-care items
• Clothes for warm days and cool nights

Stuff you may want to bring
• Drums and other instruments
• Water shoes or sandals for the river
• Songs, poems and readings to share
• A log or two for the fire
• Volleyball, soccer ball, frisbee, etc.
